Group Chief Accountant

To strengthen our Finance function, we are seeking an experienced and driven Group Chief Accountant to take ownership of group-level accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting, and to play a key role in building a scalable, world-class finance organization.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead group consolidation and financial reporting in cooperation with the CFO/Financial Controller, including IFRS compliance.
- Oversee and manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings across group companies.
- Drive improvements in accounting systems and processes, including ERP implementation and automation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and group accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with local GAAP in subsidiaries and adherence to group-level standards.
- Manage external and internal audits as well as interactions with tax authorities.
- Lead and support both internal and external accounting teams, ensuring effective collaboration and results.
- Safeguard the accuracy and integrity of group-level trial balances.
You are a good fit if you have the following:
- 5+ years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or controlling.
- Proven track record in group-level accounting and consolidation.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience in ERP implementation and change projects.
- Background in manufacturing industry highly valued.
- Leadership experience with proven ability to guide, support, and develop a team.
- Proactive, self-driven mindset – able to take initiative and move projects forward independently.
- Excellent communication skills – able to adapt to diverse stakeholders, from accountants to Country Managers.
- A university degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Fluency in English is essential. Estonian language is an advantage for local collaboration, but not required.
