Engineering Manager
Milrem Robotics is seeking an Engineering Manager with a focus on Cooling Systems to join our Mobility Technologies division. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team working on advanced hybrid vehicle platforms, shaping critical subsystems that enable mobility, performance, and long-term reliability. While technical knowledge of cooling and thermal systems is highly valued, the role primarily emphasizes people leadership, system-level thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Support the professional development of team members while fostering cohesion and success.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable engineering plans and oversee their execution.
- Promote collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Develop and implement the technical strategy for Cooling Systems, aligned with product roadmaps.
- Manage resources, budgets, and timelines, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with product, other engineering domains (including Power Pack, Electrical, and Software), and supporting teams.
- Provide clear updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on progress and challenges.
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, maintaining high standards and compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee the complete development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
Requirements
- 5+ years in engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing teams of 6–10 engineers.
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering, with experience and understanding of cooling systems considered a strong advantage.
- System-level mindset with the ability to evaluate complex interactions between components.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in building and developing engineering teams.
- Ability to guide high-level technical discussions while empowering subject matter experts.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in automotive, robotics, or defense sectors is highly valued.
