Meet the Milremee - Nikita Makushin our new Ukrainian Country Manager
Since the start of the full-scale war, Nikita’s life — like the lives of millions of Ukrainians — changed overnight. He closed his previous businesses and, together with his team, immediately began volunteering. In November 2024, after his hometown was attacked, he relocated to Kyiv. Throughout his career, Nikita has always aimed to strengthen Ukraine’s defence and resilience. Two months ago, he decided to focus even more on innovation and international cooperation for Ukraine — a journey that led him to Milrem Robotics.
Ukrainian Reality
“Living in Ukraine means constant air alarms, missile and drone strikes, and witnessing towns being destroyed. Yet every morning, people wake up, go to work, volunteer, and fight for their future. It’s a daily balance between danger and determination,“ he shares, "From this hardship, Ukrainians have developed a mindset where peace, dignity, and collective resilience are the highest values. We innovate, adapt, and move forward — not just to survive, but to save lives and share our lessons globally,“ Nikita adds.
Since 2014, Ukrainians have gained experience no one wishes to face, but one that can help others prepare and avoid making the same mistakes. When people ask how things are, he often replies: "Stable turbulence. Surviving remains the main challenge — everything else can be addressed if we stay alive. That’s why momentum is crucial. We plan for the long term but act quickly, decisively, and united.”
Nikita’s Mission with Milrem will be to: Represent Ukraine both internationally and domestically. Build direct, effective communication between partners. Support Milrem technology users to the fullest. Demonstrate a successful example of international cooperation.
For Nikita, this is more than a role. It’s a commitment to contributing to victory, resilience, and innovation — and to showcasing what can be achieved when Ukrainians and international partners work side by side.
Welcome on board!
