Milrem Careers Day 2026
What does a defence robotics company actually look like from the inside?
On Friday, 53 students joined us at Milrem Robotics for our annual Career Day, a soft launch ahead of our Summer Internship programme.
In a country like Estonia, with just 1.3 million people, technology-driven organisations all face the same challenge: we need more skilled and specialist engineers. At Milrem, we believe it is important to support the ecosystem and give back, which is why it is always a privilege to open our doors to young talent and give them a closer look at what we do.
To keep the day engaging and informative, we focused not only on engineering but on the broader make-up of a business.
Our CEO, Mikk Mägi, opened the day with an overview of Milrem, our mission and future ambitions.
Our CPO, Chris Muratet, spoke about our products and the growing role product management plays in achieving business goals.
Ela Jässi, our HR Business Partner, brought in the people perspective and what it takes to build strong teams.
Because at the end of the day, being an engineer is not just about the code you write. It is about being part of a bigger team working towards ambitious goals.
Our Production and Prototyping teams gave tours of our facilities, including a live demonstration of THeMIS, always a highlight. We closed the day with our CIO, Siim Trisberg, who explained what sits behind the IT systems of a company like Milrem, the threats we face daily, and how infrastructure protects our work.
The feedback from students has been very encouraging, with an NPS score of 75. Many highlighted the opportunity to see our production and prototyping facilities and experience THeMIS in action as the most memorable parts of the day.
In the meantime, keep an eye out. Applications for our Summer Internships will open soon across several teams, including Sales, IT, Autonomy, Middleware, Mobility Core, Emerging Platforms and Production.
