Meet the Milremee – Agnieszka Chrzanowska
Agnieszka joined Milrem Robotics in July 2024, as a Mechanical Engineer in the Cooling Systems team within the Platforms department. Her main task is integrating the cooling system into the #HAVOC Robotic Combat Vehicle (#RCV), ensuring every device, cable, and hose has its place and is properly secured. Her passion for engineering started early, driven by a fascination with how machines work and how they’re built. Technology plays a central role in our lives, and she’s proud to be part of shaping its future.
We asked: What makes Milrem special or meaningful for you? Agnieszka pointed out: the people at Milrem. Her colleagues are what make it special for her. Working alongside intelligent, kind, and respectful colleagues inspires her to keep growing as an engineer. Looking ahead, she’s eager to contribute to more ambitious projects and continue developing in her role and at Milrem.
We also asked how she perceives the role of women in engineering and how to encourage more women to enter the field. Agnieszka believes that engineering ability has nothing to do with gender. She says: “Sometimes we think that it is unusual for a woman to be good at maths or to know the difference between a bolt and a screw — it’s time to change that." We should show women that being an engineer, especially in the defence industry, is not something out of reach. Nowadays, we can see more women stepping into engineering roles, even if it sometimes feels like a man's world. Agnieszka feels happy and proud that she didn’t give up on her dream to become one.
In Poland, where she is based, she observes progress, but there’s still much work to encourage more women to study and work in engineering fields — most she has collaborated with have been from Estonia or Ukraine. She believes it is vital to demonstrate that engineers are ordinary people who enjoy solving problems and turning ideas into reality.
Her goal is straightforward: to create things that simplify life. For her, the greatest reward is knowing that what she constructs is being used — not just left on a shelf.
